Hello my name is Walaa, and I’m from Gaza.
Since October 7th, my life has been nothing but tragedy.
Our home was destroyed in an airstrike. I was forced to flee with my family, and we lived in tents — under the burning heat of summer and the freezing winds of winter.
I lost two of my beloved brothers. And now… I am the only one left to care for my entire family. I’m not just carrying grief — I’m carrying survival.
Every day is a fight to find food, shelter, and hope.
The situation has become extremely difficult for us. There is no clean drinking water, no flour, no legumes, and basically no essentials for life. Hunger and deprivation have become part of my daily reality, and sometimes I can't even find enough food to eat. My heart aches for my family who suffer with me, and there is no one around us to help. I am in urgent need of your support and assistance; any help, no matter how small, can change our lives and allow us to live with dignity. From a hurting heart, I ask you for help, even a little, because every bit of support has a big impact on my life and the lives of my loved ones.
I wake up not knowing how I’ll get through the day, but I keep going — for the sake of my elderly parents and what remains of our broken home.
