Hi, I am Naim M. Abu Hassan, a 20-year-old student from Gaza.

What was once a routine of lectures and study sessions became a daily struggle for survival through bombardment, displacement, and loss. Yet, driven by a single goal—to continue my education—I kept going whenever there was electricity and whenever the internet flickered back.

Today, against all odds, I have secured a vital bridge to a new life and my academic future.

I have been granted a Firm Offer to study Computer Science at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, beginning in September 2026. Even more importantly, I have officially been awarded a 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire four-year programme.

While the major barrier of tuition has been completely removed, one critical hurdle remains: securing the financial requirements necessary for my Irish student visa.

Irish immigration authorities require me to demonstrate that I have sufficient and sustainable funds to cover my relocation and living expenses. For my first year, I must show proof of maintenance funds, along with a clear financial plan demonstrating how future years will be supported in order to renew my residency and student visa.
