My name is Mohammed Alabadla, from Khan Younis, one of the devastated cities in Gaza.
I am 45 years old, and today I write these words not to seek pity, but to share my story and ask for solidarity. The war left us with no choice but displacement—carrying our children and fleeing to survive its horrors. Our home, which we built with all our savings and dreams, is now gone. Along with it, we lost the ability to provide the simplest necessities of life: food, clean water, warmth, and clothing. Even my workplace, which once gave us stability, has been deeply affected.
The institution chose to exempt students from tuition fees to support them in these difficult times—a noble decision, but one that left us without salaries and without income. Today, we live the harsh reality of displacement: hunger, thirst, and the pain of losing our sense of safety. Yet, despite everything, we hold on to hope. We believe that your compassion and support can restore dignity to our lives and help us endure.Your donation is not just financial aid—it is life itself. It is warmth for a child, dignity for a family, and a message that we are not alone in this struggle.
