Dear friends, my name is Hazem Khudeir, and I am a husband and father.
My family consists of four members. I work as a freelance graphic designer on the Mostaqil platform, where I have earned a 5-star rating. I also worked as a carpenter in my father's carpentry shop.
I have two baby girls, Sham and Hoor. In search of a safe place for myself, my family, and my children, I was forced to leave my home. We now live in a tent on land that lacks even the most basic necessities of life, including clean water, electricity, proper sanitation, and hygiene.
After we fled, my home and the surrounding houses were destroyed by airstrikes. The entire block where I lived was reduced to rubble. My father's carpentry shop, where I worked, was also completely destroyed. My car, which I used to help support my family and improve our financial situation, was destroyed as well.
Everything I built over the past 32 years has been erased. Everything is gone.
In short, I have nothing left.
My home and my family's home were destroyed, and we are now living in a tent. My freelance work as a graphic designer has come to a halt because my laptop was destroyed and buried beneath the rubble of my home, along with all of our household belongings.
My father's carpentry shop was destroyed and burned; nothing remains of it.
My car was crushed beneath my house, and my work as a taxi driver has also ended.
We have created this campaign to seek support as we try to rebuild our lives during this difficult time. Your contributions will help us:
