Hi, my name is Malak. I am 24 and I’m from Gaza.

I have a dream to start a small solar power project to help my family and our neighbors charge phones and batteries using solar energy. Due to the lack of electricity in Gaza, we need an alternative way to generate electricity. This project will provide a small, stable income for us and help many others who live without electricity.But our situation is urgent. During the ongoing war, our home was destroyed, and we lost everything. I also lost my job, and we have no source of income.

We are currently living in a tent and life is extremely hard. The tent does not protect us from the heat of summer nor the cold of winter. My father is elderly and very sick, needing urgent medical treatment, and my family has no one else to rely on. We are nine in my family. My parents and seven daughters and we desperately need help to survive, rebuild our home, and make this solar project a reality.

Our fundraising goal is $5,000. To cover:

- Solar panels and equipment for the project

- Medical treatment for my father

- Food and clean waterMaterials to rebuild our damaged home
